C-Co 1-168th deployed and will be out-of-country until October 2009...
Two package mailings have gone out.  We are ready for our third package party, January 29th.  Please come out and join us for the stuffing and fun!  We have photos up on the Photo Albums page under the Home Unit section.

We now are supporting the 142nd Chaplain Det from Mather, and our first package went out in January to them.  In addition, we have a box going to the 1-26 Alpha Company for February.  We will soon post the items we are sending/need to gather for this new unit of 32 soldiers deployed.  Pictures for each soon to follow.

501(c)(3) almost complete
We are almost complete with our non-profit status.  In the meantime, if you are looking for how to donate, the Marine Corp League, 940 from Folsom CA has graciously adopted us under their umbrella.  We are currently accepting donations for postage through them and through the Heritage Community Credit Union.  Just mention either Ms. Lenzi/Mr. Camden or Home Front and they will help you with donations.  As an alternative, you can send them to the address listed below and we would be grateful and more than happy to deposit it for you, providing you a tax receipt for your contribution.

Local News Articles
The publisher of the Rancho Cordova Post is a veteran and served in Iraq. He will be providing space for stories and pictures of the deployment, provided it is authorized for print. If you have anything you would like to be included in a story, or pictures for print, please forward them to our email address listed above. It will be published to give the community more of a connection to whom they are supporting!!!

Local Contributors
Rancho Cordova, Folsom, and many residents at places we all frequent on our workdays are beginning to get involved. We are planning a monthly cookie session to give more contributors the opportunity to participate more than they have. Check out the News and Events for more info and for a list of those contributing to this great cause!!!

W.O.L.F Radio
101.9
local country radio station stops each morning at 7 AM to "Paws for the Cause" and dedicates a song and air time to many heroes.  They have been doing this for sometime, and have given air time to those who call in and ask for remembrance on holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Both times dedication went out for the 1-168 and 1-812th for all their service.  Give them a listen and help us support their "Paws for the Cause" by giving a shout out to those who serve!!
